Someone stop me please! Otherwise I will go on and on........ 😅 There are many great musicians, composers and I found another wonderful piece by てぃーらさん. When you look at an autumn leaf, can you see all that went into the formation of it and feel what it went through? All the causes and conditions, all it's experiences, all it's life stories went into this simple leaf that has finally fallen to the ground, but, that is not the end. It continues it's life force and contributes to the formation of the next generation. What makes us different from the leaf? We are exposed to all the worldly conditions that went into shaping our character, all the causes and conditions, all the experiences, etc, but the extra ingredients that we have that the leaf does not, are the emotions we generate in response to the external conditions that come our way, whether caused by people or things. These emotions can make us feel happy, neutral, sad, angry, jealous, pleasant, unpleasant, making us feel like riding roller coaster, going up and down non stop, everyday, every hour, and every moment. That could be a cause of our suffering. When we learn to keep a balanced mind, not letting our emotions control our mood, we can be calm and gentle, extra clear minded when we deal with people, or dealing with the environment we live in. We can then contribute better to our environment and relate well with people. Our life force will be energised with positive energy, and energy does not get created nor destroyed, yet it can be purified. So keep on transforming ourselves to become better, kinder, friendlier, increasing our positive attributes, with compassion and wisdom, we can become more amiable. Back to the leaf... If you would imagine the leaf as a person, what kind of a person would he/she be? They get blown, get poured with heavy rain, get freezing cold by the winter snow, get wonderful exposure to the sunshine, get heated by extreme heat etc. They get admired by people, or mistreated by getting spat at, loved, hated, all kinds of good and bad, or neutral experiences. On the outside they can be subjected to all kinds of phenomena, swaying and moving with external conditions, but on the inside they are balanced, unperturbed, stable and unmoved. They will not be affected by emotional roller coaster, not being too happy, too sad, not overjoyed with pride, not going into depression with lack of self esteem, not intimidated etc. They are just a simple person, or a simple leaf. But this leaf has trained itself to except all kinds of conditions life throws at it without reacting and in the process, purified itself, like a person who has purified his/her mind, and become all embracing. This person understands now that there is nothing gained and nothing loss. He/she will transform all their negative emotions into positive ones, like compassion, unbounded love, empathy. This person has transformed his/her ignorance into wisdom.
