Hi, Neko! Last year, I had attempted to sing the same song with a DTM track. However, I sang it in the upper register, and it didn’t sound very natural. When Sui uploaded this, I thought it was so beautiful that I had to try again. ‘Mr. Lawrence’ is one of my favorite movies, and I love David Sylvian’s theme for the movie, “Forbidden Colours”. Sui said that it was ok for me to sing the English lyrics instead of the Japanese ones, since I’m not familiar with Ayano Tsuji’s version. I know the song was inspired by the novel, but I have not read the novel myself. I’m afraid my knowledge of Japanese literature is limited. As always, thank you for listening and for supporting me. 😊✨
